I’m Gipsy, an old camper van and one of the last of my series, rolling off the line in 1990.
My story began with the Austrian military and after this job, a man bought me to travel to Italy every year, in the summertime.
Well, my winters were cold an stormy with much snow, because I had to stand outside without anything above my top.
Unfortunately, I started to rust. Everywhere. He noticed that and painted me fully black himself. This was terrible to me.
The next summers were so damn hot, and my rust still spread. As I can’t stand the rain, water comes into my interior.
I’ve had some leaks. The last time I’ve been on the highway was in 2013. Three years of standing still and rusting.
Finally he decided to sell me in 2016.
This was my luck!

Many interested buyers came to see me but left again.
Then, she came – Sarah, my current owner. She looked at me with her big blue eyes full of hope, dreaming of our future.
Even though I was so ugly and had so many flaws, she really wanted me.

This wonderful feeling … being saved.

Our adventure began as we left my old home and drove over the mountains to my new home…to my safe place.
